READY TO LEAD? Join YAC.
You've got ideas. We've got the platform.
YAC is a youth-led program that puts you in charge of creating and running events for your peers across Fulton County.
Think you can make a difference?
Our members have planned epic events like the Youth Summit, the "We Run As One" color fun run, and the #NotMyLungs anti-vaping video contest. We meet once a month to connect with peers, build leadership skills, and strengthen strategic planning skills to bring our projects to life.
It's not all work.
We also have an annual overnight Youth Retreat, a Christmas/ Winter party, a Senior Send-Off party, along with many more great events and opportunities, including state and national youth conferences.

YOUTH SUMMIT - Middle School Youth-Led Program
YAC members take on the adult guidance role for middle school students at our bi-annual Youth Summit. They provide presentations, teach skills, lead discussions, and much more during these summit events. The Youth-Led Council (YLC) from Williams County partners with YAC and community adults to make this event a success and grow youth-led prevention in 6th-8th grade.
WE RUN AS ONE - Suicide Awareness walk/run
YAC identified isolation as a leading factor in youth suicide rates. To combat this issue, they planned a color fun run to build awareness, encourage connection, and share community mental health resources.
TEEN STRESS - Print and Social media Campaign
YAC examined local data and targeted stress as a major contributor to high depression and anxiety rates in their peers. To reduce this stress, they created and shared tips for parents and positive coping strategies for teens.
WHAT'S IN THAT VAPE? - Educatonal Video on vape dangers
As teen vaping grew in popularity, YAC members decided to create a video aimed at educating their peers on the dangers of vapes and e-cigarette products, as well as what is really in that vape liquid.
POSITIVE STICKY NOTES - School student locker Campaign
As COVID quarantines and restrictions were reduced and teens were returning to public school, YAC members recognized the high levels of stress and anxiety teens were experiencing and wrote encouraging sticky notes on high school student lockers.
ANTI-VAPING VIDEOS - County Wide Video Contest
YAC sponsored a contest for high school students to develop anti-vaping videos about the dangers of youth vaping that would educate and appeal to their peers.
