We challenge you to talk to your kids about underage substance use, then create a video clip showing what helps you get the conversation started.
- Do NOT film the actual conversation you have with your child.
- You do not have to be a parent to take the challenge.
- Have fun, these do not need to be perfect!

STILL NOT SURE ABOUT SUBMITTING A TIP?
Keep in mind, we are NOT asking you to film the actual conversation you have with your child,
we just want to see the tips or tricks you use to get the conversation started.
Below we have a few sample clips that can give you an idea of what we are looking for.
If you need additional Talking Tip ideas click here.
Here are a few websites with how to instructions, video ideas, and video styles that might be helpful during your video clip creation! (Remember these clips should be fun and they do not need to be perfect)
Some of these video styles do not require the video to show any faces and offer an alternative
for those who want to enter the contest but do not wish to physically be in a video.
Remember that most kids are pretty tech savvy, so your kids might be able to help you!

What does it have to do with underage substance use?
Research shows that kids whose parents talk to them regularly about the dangers of underage substance use are 50% LESS likely to use.
63% of Fulton County youth say their PARENTS are the #1 influence in their decision to remain substance free.
Unfortunately, the majority of our youth also report that their parents have NOT spoken with them on a regular basis about dangers of substance use.
We want to encourage this regular conversation and developed the #Talk2Me Challenge as a great way to help share great ideas on conversations starters!
