2026 We Run As One,

Building Connections

What happens when young people see a problem in their community and decide to do something about it?

You get We Run As One.

Created by members of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC), this colorful, high-energy community event is all about bringing people together, supporting youth mental health, and reminding everyone that no one has to face life’s challenges alone.

At We Run As One, you’ll find much more than a color run. The event is designed to be a fun, welcoming, substance-free celebration of community connection, featuring:

🎨 A vibrant color run/fun run for all ages
🎯 Carnival games, yard games, and family activities
💬 Local organizations and resource tables sharing information about mental health and support services

connection can save lives.

Members of YAC noticed that many young people were struggling with feelings of stress, isolation, and negative self-talk. So they stepped up and created an event that helps people build connections with friends, family, trusted adults, and local support services.

By bringing the community together in a fun and positive environment, We Run As One helps:

✔ Support students navigating the move from middle school to high school

✔ Strengthen connections between youth, families, and trusted adults

✔ Connect families with local resources and support

✔ Raise awareness about youth mental health
✔ Reduce the stigma around asking for help
✔ Remind young people that they are not alone

Most importantly, this event is youth-led. From planning to promotion to running the event itself, local students are taking the lead to make their community stronger.

So grab your friends, bring your family, and come run, play, laugh, and connect with us.

Because when we support each other, we truly run as one.

Thanks for joining us in 2025

Thank you to all who joined our AMAZING 2025 walk/run event brought to you by your own Fulton County Youth Advisory Council (YAC)!  YAC is a group of high schoolers from all over Fulton County who are passionate about making our community better!  Want to know more about us? Click here.

This event was all about CONNECTION!  We wanted to bring young people together with each other AND with adults who care about them. Mental health is a BIG DEAL for young people today, and we want everyone to know they're not alone and that help is out there!

We believe that by sharing support and resources, building connections, and fighting isolation, we can boost mental health for ALL Fulton County youth!

The 2025 color "fun" run* included a timed 5K race, as well as an untimed 1 mile walk/run. The color "fun" run event was open to ages 5 and up and people of all abilities were invited to participate.

This was a family friendly event with something for everyone!

We Run As One included FREE family friendly activities and resource tables from community partners.

*Participants in the color "fun" run should be prepared for color powder to be thrown/sprayed on them during the race. To protect eyes and mouth we advise wearing goggles or glasses, and a bandana around your mouth during the run. See the full 2025 waiver form here

***All spectators and event attendees please note that color powder will be used throughout the race area and all areas of the surrounding event may be impacted as this powder disperses through the air.
