The Fulton County Youth Tobacco Workgroup is made up of high school students who live, work or play in Fulton County who are passionate about preventing tobacco use, promoting responsible use and conservation of the environment.
- Members will be educated, engaged and inspired to act on issues surrounding the impacts of tobacco use on the environment. Youth members will work alongside community members to address the significant impacts of tobacco use not only on individual health, but on the environmental health of the community where they live.
- Members will engage in the creation and development of a project to increase community awareness of the environmental impact of tobacco use and encourage and motivate community members to care for and protect their health, land and communities.
The Tobacco Workgroup meetings will be held once a month in person (dates TBD). Group members will be paid stipends quarterly. Please contact Karen Pennington at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
